HIGH VALUE HOMES MINIMUM INSPECTIONS REQUIREMENTS


(The Inspection must include the following:)

Occupancy Information:

• Occupancy Type (owner, tenant, vacant, etc.)
• Interview Insured

Replacement Cost Information:

• Must use the most up-to-date version of the MSB High Value Replacement cost tool to estimate the total replacement cost.

Exterior Information:

• Year of Construction
• Number of Families
• If Town or Row house, number of units whitin a firewall
• Exterior wall construction type
• Roof Covering
• Roof Shape
• Fire Protection Information (Distance to hydrant, distance to responding fire department, name of responding fire department).
• Pool/Spa Information (Fenced?)
• Distance to and name of body of water (if applicable)
• Dwelling and Outbuilding conditions and/or hazards
• Wind mitigation features present (e.g. shutters, including type)
• Total living area (square feet)
• Total area of dwelling (square feet)
• Diagram of square footage

Premises Information:

• Premises Condition
• Liability hazards
• Tree conditions (overhanging roof hazards)
• Business on premises (name, type, number of employees)
Interior Information:
• Alarm / Fire System
• Update information and condition of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and roof
• Business and type of rooms

Photographs:

• Back and front of house
• Outbuildings
• Liability hazards and/or condition concerns
• Interior of kitchen and living area
